About Aria

Hi — I’m Aria, and I make press-on nails one set at a time, for one person at a time.

How this started

I’ve been making press-on nails for about a year now.

[[ ARIA: two or three sentences, in your own words. What got you into it? Was it doing your own nails, or a friend’s? What was the first set you made that you were actually proud of? Don’t polish it — the honest version is better than the impressive version. ]]

A year in, I’m still slightly amazed that I can draw something on an iPad in the evening and hand someone the real thing a week later.

How I work

Most press-on shops make sets and then find someone to sell them to. I do it the other way round.

You tell me what you’re picturing — a vibe, a colour, a dress you’re matching, a screenshot you saved. Then I draw your actual set in Procreate, every nail, before anything is made. You get to look at it, change the colours, swap a nail you don’t love, or tell me to start over. Only once you say yes do I pick up a brush.

It means nobody ever opens a case and thinks oh. You already know exactly what’s coming, because you approved it.

Then I measure you — properly, in person if you’re local — and hand-make the set to your nails. It comes to you in a hard case with glue, ready to put on.

What I care about

Fit, more than anything. A gorgeous set that’s a millimetre too narrow looks fake and falls off, and it’s the single most common thing people complain about with press-ons. So I measure people myself whenever I can, I keep everyone’s sizes on file, and if I did the measuring and it doesn’t fit, I remake it free.

The bit nobody notices. I keep the side edges of every nail clear of rhinestones and 3D work, so if a nail is ever a touch too wide you can just file it. It takes discipline while I’m building and it costs me nothing, and it means a set is never unwearable over one millimetre.

Telling you the truth about wear time. Plenty of brands promise three or four weeks. With glue you’ll realistically get ten days to two weeks; with tabs, three to five days. I’d rather you knew that up front than felt let down on day nine.

The work I like most

[[ ARIA: what do you most enjoy making? 3D florals? Fruit? Bows? Chrome? What’s a set you’d love someone to ask you for and nobody has yet? This is the bit that makes people want to commission you — be specific. ]]

Where I am

I’m in Northern Virginia. If you’re local I’ll measure your nails in person and hand your set to you — which is both the best fit you’ll get and the fastest way to have them. If you’re not, I ship anywhere in the US, and we can do the measuring on a video call so your set is still covered by the Fit Promise.

Come say hi

I post every set I make on Instagram — that’s the fastest way to see what I’m working on, and the easiest way to reach me if you’d rather message than fill in a form.
